No Octa-core Galaxy S IV version for US, Canada and Sweden?

As rumoured in the past that, there would be two versions for Samsung Galaxy S IV and both of these versions are region specific. According to latest information on the subject, the US based Galaxy S4 is not powered with Exynos Octa 5410 chipset instead, it is using Quacomm 600 chipset with krait quad-core processor which is equivalent to recently launched Sony Xperia Z.

Similar, chipset is used in HTC One flagship. If we compare the benchmark performance test of Galaxy S IVQualcomm 600 version with HTC One and Xperia Z then still, S IV is just “little ahead”. If I would have the choice between, Galaxy S4 Qualcomm version, HTC One and Xperia Z, then I will pick HTC, because of their interface and beautiful design. However, benchmark points Xperia Z is better than HTC One, but it’s my personal interest. But if the choice is between Galaxy S IV Octa Exynos version and other smartphones, then no doubt I will pick Galaxy S IV.

According to LG this patent was registered in 2009 and now LG wants that Samsung should pay for it but Samsung is denying it and commented Smart Pause Feature is not similar to Smart Video of LG.

Well, LG wants to take it to court but Samsung seems to be straight forward. At the end of April month, Samsung would be delivering Samsung Galaxy S IV in many countries and there it would be sold in price range of $650 to $850. Well, source iSupply has revealed the production cost of Galaxy S4 and saying it is costing $244 to the Samsung Company.

According to the report, most costly part of Galaxy S IV would be its display and touchscreen which is costing $75 to the company itself. So, if in future, your S4 display would be broken anyhow, you would have to pay maximum, may be around 150 – $200. Also, as we know Galaxy S IV is carrying octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary camera and a larger battery with 2600 mAh capacity. This all, increases the cost of production of Galaxy S IV as compare to S III. Well, if Samsung will opt Qualcomm S6 chipset, it will cost lesser than that of Samsung latest chip. So, we can see a price difference between US, Sweden and Canada version of Galaxy S4 and another international version of octa-core.

Day before yesterday, we came to know that Samsung is going to ship Samsung Galaxy S IVSnapdragon 600 version to US, Sweden and Canada, as we stated Samsung would not be selling Galaxy S4 Octa-Core chip version there. And now we are having the most recent news that Samsung said, the same US version Galaxy S IV would be shipped to UK as well. Means, Galaxy S4 UK version would be carrying Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset.

However, Samsung Galaxy S IV Octa Exynos 5410 version is beast among all, even Snapdragon 600 version is top in the list. There exists, already few smartphones in the market that are powered with this chipset. Two of them are, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z but they are clocked on lesser frequency limit as of Galaxy S4 Snapdragon 600 version, because Snapdragon S6 Galaxy S IV is clocked at 1.9GHz, yes 1.9GHz which is more than over clocking range of most high end smartphones of the market. So imagine, if someone will overclock Galaxy S IV Snapdragon version than it will cross new benchmark records.

Well, I am not aware why Samsung will not ship the original flavour with Octa Exynos 5410 chipset Galaxy S IV to US and UK. But according to my thinking, Samsung will not take the risk just because of few bucks. May be something internal is there, may be the patent war or limitation on which Samsung can’t overcome.

But you will see few updates as to Galaxy S III TouchWiz, there is no more water touch feeling but a new welcome home screen with beam light effects which got activated from even if your figure is 1 to 2 centimetres away. Moreover, it was more than the expectations of Samsung and the result is Samsung is suffering for the shortage of Octa Exynos 5410 chipset. In the stock Samsung is only having the number Octa Exynos units that can power only the 30% of the first batch of Samsung Galaxy S IV that would be releasing in the month of April.

For a recap, we want to tell you that there are two versions of Samsung Galaxy S IV; one is powered with Snapdragon 600 chip (integrating krait-300 processor) and another one is powered with Samsung Octa Exynos 5410 chipset. Design:

In the range of 5 inches smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S IV i9505 is one of the sleekest smartphone of the market and also the lightest as its dimensions are as 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm and its weight is just 130 g. If you will hold it in your hand, you will feel like you are not holding anything as per the weight. No doubt, it is making feel of S4 better, smoother and strong.
