HTC One Price Threatens Samsung Galaxy S4

The HTC One, which will likely be heading to AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile later this month, has seen its pricing revealed at Radio Shack and in turn, for AT&T and Sprint as well. If the prices hold, they could trump the price of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the U.S. which has been revealed to be $250, at least on AT&T.
In February, HTC launched the HTC One, a device that is, and will be, the company’s chief rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5. And despite being released in several regions around the globe, the United States is still fruitless when it comes to an HTC One release. In fact, we still don’t have any release dates for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
The HTC One release date is on track for early to mid April.
The AT&T and Sprint HTC One will apparently cost $199.99 on-contract.
T-Mobile has revealed that it will be “coming soon” and that it will offer the device starting at $99, but AT&T and Sprint have been mum about any specific release details. The most that we’ve heard from either AT&T and Sprint is AT&T’s confirmation that the 64GB HTC One will be a carrier exclusive with Sprint and T-Mobile likely only carrying the 32GB HTC One.
The HTC One will be sold at retailers like Radio Shack.
The HTC One will be sold at retailers like Radio Shack.
AT&T and Sprint have not yet announced pricing for the HTC One but this poster suggests that they will price it at a familiar price point and possibly, undercut the $250 price of the Samsung Galaxy S4. We still don’t know if the $250 price tag for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to be for the 16GB model or the 32GB or if it will be adopted by other carriers like Sprint, U.S. Cellular and Verizon.
It also looks like Radio Shack will toss in a $50 Google Play Credit with the HTC One as well.
Of course, this likely means that the 32GB HTC One is going to cost $199.99. It’s unclear at this point just how much AT&T’s 64GB HTC One will cost though we imagine it will either be $250 or $300.
We expect AT&T and Sprint to announce their details soon as the HTC One is slated for an April release in the U.S. The sign could mean that we see it sooner rather than later. Gotta Be Mobilepreviously heard from a trusted source that the HTC One U.S. release date may not arrive until late in the month of April.
